Real skin has all kinds of interesting properties, like translucence and sub-surface-scattering,
but in Santa's case we only wanted a surface that resembled human skin, not the real thing. For
that purpose we used the cheeks and lips of the beautiful young lady below to paint his face,
making his nose a little more red that that of the young lady.
