This very simple animation consists of a spinning basic shape with a displacement map to make it
look like it has engravings. It very clearly demonstrates the power of 3D over 2D. Here we just
lit a couple of lamps, spun the shape, and light and shadows played over its surface
automatically. To have done the same in 2D would have been incredibly difficult.
