Simulating the movement of clothes is one of the great strengths of 3D animation. It does come with a price in the form of extended render times, and due to the amount of parameters that have to be set correctly, it is not that easy to set up.

This test demonstrates the latter point. The scene contains 4 identical movements of Ichiro (from Poser Pro) wearing a cape. The only difference is that parameters have been set differently in the four renders, but as you will see, if Ichiro wants to keep his clothes on, there are definitely parameters he should not use...
