Obviously lighting plays a big part in creating the mood for a scene. In this test shot we created
a big moon and drifting clouds in Vue and added it all to our test model. The background is more
or less volcanic in this version. We later changed our minds regarding the background and the
lighting, but this test shot still shows how much 'mood' you can get out of a simple moon and some
blue lights.
On a side note: This video is matted in Todd-AO format, which is slightly less broad than real
old-fashioned Cinemascope. We perform these formatting tests repeatedly to find out what film
format will fit our story best.
